Format explanation

Oleoresins contain the resin and volatile or fixed oil of the drug, together with other constituents. Care should be exercised in extracting the drug when acetone is ordered to be used, as the liquid is very volatile and inflammable.


The British Pharmaceutical Codex, 1911, was published by direction of the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
